What can I do to help support Crossroads Care Bucks and Milton Keynes?
Crossroads Care Bucks and Milton Keynes depends on volunteers to promote and support the work and help to raise much needed funds to develop and expand the services offered to Carers in this community. In particular we are looking for volunteers who would like to:
- Help with the Memory Book project at our Dementia Day Centre, we need enthusiastic people able to encourage, reminisce and capture memories with people with early onset Dementia
- Distribute promotional information; placing leaflets on notice boards is a vital way to promote the name of Crossroads Care
- Talk to people and promote Crossroads Care, visits to local groups, clubs and organisations
- Set up a Fundraising group and expand the opportunities for raising money, bequests, trusts and legacies, including company supported voluntary schemes
- Do you need an opportunity to develop your valuable skills in a rewarding way? Then becoming a Trustee could be the answer. We need people with a wide variety of experience and backgrounds.
Volunteering for Crossroads Care is flexible in both time and commitment. Any ‘out of pocket’ expenses, including travel will be covered, and all necessary training will be provided. Each volunteer is matched to a suitable role, and will receive support from the Volunteer Coordinator.
What should I do now?
