About Us
Crossroads Care Bucks and Milton Keynes formed in September 2011, further to the merger of our South and North Buckinghamshire Crossroads Schemes.
We currently employ around 125 carer support workers, providing approximately 8000 hours of care per month to nearly 450 clients, in the Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes area.
Our Aim
Crossroads Care Bucks and Milton Keynes aims to promote, support and deliver high quality services for carers and people with care needs by placing paid, fully trained carer support workers in the home on a regular basis to relieve the primary carer.
Who Are Our Clients?
Every client situation is unique depending on the needs of the person we go into. We cater for a wide spectrum of clients from babies to people of 100 years old, who have a range of disabilities or illness’s, and that may require practical support, emotional support or both. A more detailed list of our services can be found under the ‘Our Services’ section of our website.
Our Staff
All of our staff complete a thorough training programme that helps them become extraordinary Carer Support Workers. We thoroughly check the background of all of our staff and complete full Criminal Record Bureau checks prior to them commencing work. Ongoing training forms an important part of the Carer Support Workers role, and we pride ourselves on providing not only mandatory but also more specialist training in areas of interest specific to each Carer Support Worker, such as dementia care. We also encourage and support all of our staff in undertaking the NVQ 2 qualification in Health & Social Care.
A Resource You Can Trust
Our dependability and quality of care have earned a deep level of trust with our clients, family members, health, medical and social services staff. Our scheme is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and complies with their legal requirements under Domiciliary Care Standards Regulations. We also have a Quality Assurance System to monitor our policies and procedures which includes an annual audit.
